Digital resilience game

When we first spoke to teachers and learners about digital tools in the language classroom — and the rapid rise of AI — the response was overwhelmingly positive. People are excited. They see the possibilities. They recognise how tools like AI can spark creativity, personalise learning, and open new doors.
But alongside that excitement, we heard something else.

Many teachers and learners shared real concerns:

  • How do we stay safe online?
  • How do we protect our privacy?
  • How do we avoid distraction and digital overload?
  • How do we use AI responsibly instead of relying on it blindly?

That’s exactly why our game exists.

This isn’t just a game — it’s a space where your students can explore, reflect, and build confidence, while improving their language skills.
Whether you’re a teacher or a learner, this experience is designed to help you take control of your digital world — instead of letting it control you.

Ready to play, reflect, and level up your digital and language skills? 🚀

The game is available in EnglishFinnishGermanGreekItalian and Spanish
For ease of use, the game can be played in small chunks (around 10 minutes each), on any digital device: it can be used by learners independently, with no need for registration.

Although the game is designed to be used in language classes (at around A2/B1 level), the contents can also be used productively in other classes and with other groups too.

This guide is intended to help teachers take the game into use in their own teaching. It includes:

  • a quick overview of the main topics of the game;
  • instructions for helping your learners to get started using the game;
  • chapter by chapter overviews of the game parts where you’ll find
  • a brief introduction to the topic in question;
  • a preview of the language teaching point and how it is covered in the game;
  • suggestions for introductory and follow-up activities you may like to use.

SUPPORTING MATERIALS

The full set of questions and answers for each part of the game is available below.
This allows you to preview game material and to target teaching accordingly. The material is available in English, Finnish, German, Greek, Italian and Spanish.

A downloadable excel file with parallel sets of new vocabulary for each unit in all 6 project languages is available here

This allows you to easily create matching lists of vocabulary in your own teaching and target languages if you wish. (Note: since the parts of the game can be played in any order, there is some repetition of vocabulary in the lists.)
