Launching our Online Course

This October, our online train-the-trainer course for language teachers was published! It is available in all project languages: English, Finnish, Spanish, Italian, German, and Greek – you can register here and browse through 10 interesting and useful learning modules. Topics included discuss the role of Artificial Intelligence in the classroom – whether it is for language teachers or learners, ways to provide feedback and assess the learners’ progress by using various digital tools, strategies for real and effective inclusion in the classroom – whether it concerns special learning differences, social and behavioral difficulties, or physical difficulties, as well as the meaning and importance of media literacy and digital resilience -not just for teachers but for everyone- in today’s increasingly digital society.

But how did we get here?
The first step was to create a Report on the current state of language teaching post-Covid, and teachers’ current digital competence and training needs. Apart from the research and surveys, we also conducted one Focus Group per country. You can find the Summary Report in all project languages, here.

The report provided crucial information about how teaching has changed since Covid (where is teaching taking place, how do teachers interact with learners etc.), as well as about teacher’s current capabilities and perceived training needs with regards to new technologies (like Artificial Intelligence) and in the DigCompEdu aspects of assessment, learner empowerment and digital resilience.

Our online course is also accompanied by an online quiz game that you can play as a learner, you can use as a digital tool for your class as a teacher, or simply explore it and have fun! Keep an eye on our website for the game launch.
